Urundai Recipe

Urundai Recipe - A traditional South Indian Sweet made with Dal flour and Jaggery. You can make it and store for two weeks.



Recipe Ingredients

* Moong Dal - 1 cup

* Chana Dal - 1 cup

* Raw Rice - 1 cup

* Wheat Flour - 1 cup

* Jaggery (powdered) - 3 cups

* Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp

* Coconut pieces - 1 tbsp


Preparation

First dry roast moong dal, chana dal and rice to a light pinkish colour. Grind together in a flour mill to make a smooth flour.

Dry roast wheat flour also and keep aside.

In a plate mix together wheat flour, cardamom powder, coconut pieces and grounded mix flour of dals. Keep aside.

Prepare jaggery syrup to a soft ball consistency. Slowly pour this syrup on the flour in the tray, stirring continuously. When the jaggery flour mixture is still warm roll into small balls and arrange in an airtight container.

Serve to your guests during special occasions.
