Thoran

Thoran - Dry Kerala Dish made with vegetables. You can use long beans, carrot, peas and cabbage to make this dish. A very easy recipe to cook in 15 to 20 minutes.



Recipe Ingredients

* Beans (cut to pieces) - 200g
* Cabbage (cut to small pieces) - 200g
* Peas - 50g
* Coconut Oil - 2 tsp
* Cumin Seeds - 1/4 tsp
* Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Curry Leaves - 5 to 6
* Red Chillies (Dried) - 3
* Garlic Cloves (crushed) - 1 tsp
* Coconut (grated) - 1 cup
* Salt to taste

Preparation

Mix and crush coconut, turmeric, red chilli and garlic together and keep this mixture aside.

Take a pan and cook beans, cabbage and peas with little salt and water. Cover with a lid and cook till they turn tender.

Add coconut oil to it and above ready mixture and other ingredients to the pan and cook for 10 to 15 minutes. Remove the cover and let it cook till water is completely dried and all the vegetables are cooked and fully.

Serve hot.
