Tandoori Chicken is the first dish which come to the mind when we think of traditional Indian dishes. Tandoori Masala or marination is the critical part which makes the whole dish mouthwatering.
Slit and cut chicken flesh where the meat is thick. At least make 5 to 6 cuts. Make ready an oven pre-heated to 400 degrees.
In a cup take red chilli powder, put salt and lime juice and mix all together. Apply this mixture to cut marks or gash marks on the chicken flesh.
In a middle size deep tumbler or pan take yogurt, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, 1/2 tsp salt, pepper powder, fenugreek powder, garam masala, coriander powder, cumin powder, lime juice and mix all together. Add Red food liquid colour to make this a red colour thick marination.
Apply this marination to chicken pieces, taking care that it is smeared properly. After this add oil on the surface at all sides. Put these pieces in the oven for 25-30 minutes chicken will be cooked properly.
To make the pieces more tastier put pieces on a griddle and sprinkle lime juice, onion, garam or chat masala and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Yummy chicken is ready.
