Sweet Lassi

Sweet Lassi - The traditional Indian beverage - the lassi is a favourite during the hot summers. With the base ingredients like curd, sugar, water and ice that stays the same, lassi is a versatile drink which allows you to experiment with different flavours.



Banana Lassi

Banana Lassi Ingredients

* Banana - 2
* Green Cardamom Pod - 1
* Natural Unsweetened Curd - 150ml
* Mint leaves - 4
* Cold Water - 200ml
* Rose Water - 1 tsp
* Sugar - 1 1/2 tsp

Preparation

Gently crush a green cardamom pod, until it splits. Separate the seeds from the outer case.

Put the peeled bananas and cardamom seeds into a mixing bowl or jug, along with 150ml of unsweetened curd, sugar, rose water and cold water.

Use a hand blender to blend the mixture into a smooth paste. Pour into glasses and garnish with mint.



Mango Lassi

Mango Lassi Ingredients

* Fresh Mangoes Pulp - 1/2 cup
* Plain Curd - 1 cup
* Crushed Ice - 1 cup
* Sugar - 3 tbsp

Preparation

Blend all the above ingredients together in a blender. To maintain the consistency, add a little water if it's too thick.

Serve Chilled.
