* Vermicelli (Semiya) - 2 cups

* Refined Oil - As required

* Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 2 tsp

* Salt to taste

* Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp

* Urad Dal - 1 tsp

* Chana Dal - 1 tsp

* Green Chillies - 2

* Ginger 1" piece chopped - 1

Preparation

Take a kadai(wok) and roast semiya to a golden colour in ghee. Keep aside.

Heat 1 tbsp oil and light fry all the seasonings (mustard seeds, urad dal, chana dal, red chillies, green chillies, curry leaves and chopped ginger). Add 3 cups of water and required salt. When the water boils, slowly add the roasted semiya, stirring constantly (if required add hot water).
