Seekh Kebab or Seekh Kabab is a dish very popular in punjab. Lamb or chicken meat is commonly used to make this dish. In its preparation minced or chopped meat is threaded on a skewer, grilled or roasted on a tandoori oven.
Kebab meat seems difficult but is very simple and easy to make. Once the ingredients are ready kebab recipe can be made ready in 10-15 minutes.
Lamb Kebab Meat Ingredients
* Lamb Mince - 1/2kg * Yogurt - 1/4 cup * Onion (chopped) - 2 * Ginger (mashed)- one small piece * Green Chilli (finely chopped)- 3 * Garlic (mashed)- 4 cloves * Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp * Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp * Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp * Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp * Cardamom (small ones deseeded) - 3 * Salt - 1 tsp
Preparation
Mix all the ingredients in a large bowl.
Make long kebabs and wrap around skewers.
Cook by putting kebabs on the grill of the oven or tandoor or charcoal embers. Rotate to ensure cooking at all sides. Once Kebabs are brown take them out and serve along with tamarind chutney.
