Sabut Murgh - Rajasthani dish of dry whole chicken. You can add water to make it curry base also.
Recipe Ingredients
* Chicken (Medium Size & cleaned) - 1
* Cooking Oil - 1 cup
* Onions (finely sliced) - 2
* Red Chilli Powder - 4 tsp
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Coriander Powder - 4 tsp
* Ginger Paste - 2 tsp
* Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
* Salt to taste
Preparation
First prick the chicken all over with a fork.
Take oil in a kadai(wok) and heat it. As the oil is hot fry onions till they become brown. Add ginger garlic paste and fry till the oil separates.
Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt and the chicken. Stir fry the chicken for 5 to 10 minutes. Cover the kadai with a lid and cook on a slow flame, till the chicken is fully done. Add a little water if needed, to avoid the chicken from sticking to the bottom of the pan.
Once the chicken is one, then cook uncovered to dry the excess liquid. Serve hot along with Tandoori Rotis and Basmati Rice.
