Rumali Roti

Rumali Roti means Roti like a Rumal (In English means handkerchief). As name suggests it is a very thin roti finally folded like a Rumal (handkerchief).

Recipe Ingredients

* Maida (Refined Flour) - 1 1/2 cup

* Wheat Flour - 1/2 cup

* Milk - 1/4 cup

* Baking Powder - 1/2 tsp

* Oil - 2 tbsp

* Water - To make dough

* Salt to taste

Preparation

In a bowl mix together maida, wheat flour, baking powder and salt. Once mixed properly, sieve them.

In the centre of the mixed flour make a small size well. Add milk and sufficient water to make a smooth dough. Cover the dough with a wet cloth and keep aside for 1 hour.

Make equal size dough balls from the dough. Roll them out flat to make round size discs. The roti should be thin compared to normal rotis. Carefully place the roti on a preheated griddle. Cook till it turns little brown. Turn over and cook other side.

Once cooked fold it like a handkerchief and enjoy with Veg Manchurian.
