Recipe Pachadi

Recipe Pachadi - Kerala dish of sautéed okra in a warm and spicy yogurt gravy.



Recipe Ingredients

* Okra (Lady's Fingers) - 1/2 kg (chopped)

* Yogurt - 1 1/2 cup

* Coconut Oil - 1 tbsp

* Grated Coconut - 1/2 cup

* Green Chillies - 5 Nos

* Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp

* Ginger - 1/2 inch (chopped)

* Dry Red Chillies - 2 Nos

* Curry Leaves - 4 to 5

* Salt to taste



Preparation

First sauté the Okras and keep them aside. Sprinkle little salt on the fried okras. Toss and mix well.

Grind the grated coconut to a fine paste. Beat the curd, stir in the fried okra , coconut paste, green chillies, ginger and salt.

Fry mustard seeds, red chilli and curry leaves in the coconut oil, stir into the curds.

Mix well and serve in a bowl.
