Rava Roti

Rava Roti - Roti made from Semolina(Suji). Make this easy roti yourself and serve along with Sambar and coconut chutney.



Recipe Ingredients

* Rava (Suji)- 2 and 1/2 cups

* Cooking Oil - for frying

* Onion (finely Chopped) - 1

* Green Chillies (cut) - 4

* Asafoetida - a pinch

* Coriander Leaves - hand full

* Curry Leaves - 4 to 5

* Water - 1 and 1/2 cups

* Salt to taste

Preparation

First boil water and add Rava to it. Ensure you stir regularly till it is little thick. Remove from fire and let it cool down.

Take a bowl and mix all ingredients together. Knead and make a smooth dough. Make equal size dough balls and roll them into rotis. Make them flat using your wet palms. Keep them aside.

Heat a griddle with 1 to 2 tbsp of oil. Once it is hot gently put roti on it. Apply oil on top side and cook. Turn over the roti and apply oil on other side also. Cook till roti is crisp and little brown.

Serve hot along with Coconut Chutney and Sambar.
