Rajma is a very common Punjabi Dish and a known fact that it is prepared once or twice every week in most of the Punjabi homes. Inclusion of this dish is a must in Marriage functions, family get together etc.
Some people like the dry version also, however we are preparing recipe which is curry or gravy based. Enjoy it with Rice, Naan or Tandoori Roti.
Soak the beans for 4 to 5 hours and boil it in a cooker along with salt and keep it separately.
Take some oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, onion and fry till oil is separated. Add tomato puree, ginger garlic paste and fry for about 15 minutes while stirring it regularly. Add coriander powder, Red chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder, garam masala to it. Stir all together.
Add the above masala to the boiled beans and let it cook for 15 to 20 minutes on medium flame. Garnish it with chopped Coriander leaves and dish is ready to serve.
