Rajasthani Kadhi

Rajasthani Kadhi - A traditional Rajasthani spicy Dish which can be cooked easily in 20 to 25 minutes with minimum effort. Serve this along with Rice and Aloo Baji for better taste.



Recipe Ingredients

* Besan (Gram Flour) - 3 tbsp
* Onion (chopped) - 1
* Cooking Oil - 2 tbsp
* Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Yogurt - 250g
* Hing (Asafoetida) - A Pinch
* Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
* Green Chillies (ground to paste) - 2
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
* Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
* Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta) - A few
* Coriander Leaves (chopped) - 1 tbsp
* Salt to taste
* Water - 2 cups



Preparation

Take a kadai(wok) and heat oil in it. Once it is hot, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds and hing. As they start crackling, add onion and fry till the onions turn little brown.

Now whisk the yogurt with the garlic paste, green chilli paste, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Add water and stir thoroughly. Add this to the kadai and bring to a boil. Add the curry leaves and then let it cook for 10 to 15 minutes.

Once done garnish with coriander leaves and serve with Missi Roti or Plain Basmati rice.
