Pudina Paratha

Pudina Paratha - Wholewheat Indian Bread flavoured with dried Mint(Pudina) leaves. This Indian paratha dish can be prepared in 40 minutes.

Recipe Ingredients

* Wholewheat flour - 2 cups

* Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 5 tbsp

* Mint Leaves (pudina) dried - 1 tsp

* Salt - 1 tsp

* Water - 1 1/2 cup

Preparation

First mix flour, salt and half of desi ghee. Add water and knead to make a smooth dough. Cover and keep aside for half an hour.

Divide the dough into equal size dough balls. Flatten each ball into a round disc with a rolling pin. Apply the remaining desi ghee and sprinkle dried mint leaves.

Pleat the dough into a single collected strip. Shape into balls and roll out into 6" diameter pancakes. Now heat a griddle(tawa) or tandoor and cook the roti till brown spots appear on both the sides.

Once yellow and golden in colour take it off from the flame and smear with butter. Serve hot along with Baingan Ka Bharta and mango pickle.
