Phirni

Phirni is Indian Rice Pudding very popular in northern part of the country. Prepared with Rice flour and Milk it is mostly enjoyed when serve chilled.



Recipe Ingredients

* Rice Flour - 2 tbsp

* Skimmed Milk - 2 cups

* Sugar - 4 tbsps

* Saffron Strands - A Pinch

* Almonds (cut to pieces) - 10

* Cardamom (small) Powder - 1 tsp

* Cashew Nuts (cut to pieces) - 10

* Raisins - 10



Preparation

In a bowl bring skimmed milk to boil. Add sugar and stir till it dissolves. Then add saffron strands, rice flour and almonds.

Keep stirring till milk thickens. Sprinkle cardamom powder and let it cool down.

Garnish with cashew nuts and raisins and serve chilled.
