Pav Bhaji - Visit to Mumbai is incomplete without eating this delicious Snack. Apply butter on Pav to make the dish more lazeez. Enjoy with Lemon and chopped onions.
Recipe Ingredients
* Indian Pav - 6
* Butter - for frying
* Bhaji Pav Masala - 1 1/2 tbsp
* Capsicum (finely chopped) - 1
* Tomatoes (chopped) - 2
* Onions (chopped) - 2
* Green Peas - 1/2 cup
* Mix Vegetables chopped(cauliflower,carrot,potatoes)- 1 cup
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
* Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
* Coriander leaves - For Garnishing
* Salt to taste
* Lemon Juice - 2 tsp
* Water - 1 cup
Preparation
Take a pressure cooker and cook the mixed vegetables, peas with water (1 cup) till fully done. Once cooked take out from pressure cooker and mash the vegetables thoroughly.
In a big size pan heat butter. Once it is hot, fry onions till they turn little brown. Add ginger garlic paste, capsicum, tomatoes. Fry for 3 to 4 minutes till they are done and soft.
Now add cooked mixed vegetables, bhaji pav masala, salt, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and fry 2 to 3 minutes. Mash and simmer till the gravy becomes thick. Add lemon juice. Mix well and garnish with coriander leaves. keep aside the bhaji.
Now slit open the Pavs with a knife and roast them with little butter on all sides. Serve with Bhaji.
