Paneer Tikka

Paneer Tikka - A tasty tikka recipe made with Paneer (cottage cheese) and capsicum. To get a tangy taste add lemon juice with the ingredients and serve as a starter.

Recipe Ingredients

* Paneer (sliced into cubes) - 100g
* Onions (sliced into rings) - 2 or 3
* Capsicum (cut into rings) - 2
* Cooking Oil - 2 tbsp
* Orange Colour - Few Drops
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
* Green Chillies (cut) - 2
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
* Lemon Juice - 2 tsp
* Black Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
* Salt to taste

Preparation

In a mixer grinder add ginger garlic paste, red chilli powder, green chillies, cumin powder, lime juice, salt and orange colour and make a fine paste.

Take paneer cubes and smear all the sides with this paste. Leave the smeared cubes aside for 45 minutes, so that it becomes dry. In a pre-heated tandoor, grill the cubes till they become crisp and dry.

Take a pan and heat oil in it. Once it is hot, fry onions and capsicum in it till they become crisp and little tender. Smear also the ready paste on fried onion and capsicum rings.

In a plate put all the paneer pieces along with onions and capsicum. Serve hot along with coriander chutney.
