Paneer Sag is one delicacy which is enjoyed most with Missi Roti, Naan and Stuffed Paratha. The dish is most popular during winters.
In this Saag dish we will use Palak (Spinach) and Paneer cubes.
Palak Paneer Recipe Ingredients
* Palak (Spinach) - Two bunch of leaves
* Paneer (Cheese) cubes - 150g
* Oil - 2 to 3 tbsp
* Ghee - 1 tsp
* Onion (Chopped) - 1
* Green Chillies (chopped) - 3
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 1/2 tsp
* Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
* Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
* Tomato Puree - 1 tbsp
* Salt to taste
Preparation
First clean the spinach leaves and cut all to pieces. In a kadai(wok) take oil and add green chillies and spinach.Keep moving the items till spinach leaves become soft. In a blender put these items and salt to make a spinach puree.
In a pan take very little ghee and fry paneer cubes till they turn brown.
In the same Kadai, take ghee and saute onion till ghee starts separating. Add cumin powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, tomato puree and saute all these for few items till mixed properly. Then add Spinach Puree and little salt and cook on medium flame for 10 minutes. Put ready paneer cubes and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more. Ensure that Sag is in the form of a paste.You can add little water to soften the dish a bit.
Serve the dish along with Gur (Jaggery).
