Mysore Bonda

Mysore Bonda - South Indian Snack - Bonda. Made of Lentils and traditional spices. Enjoy it with coriander chutney at tea time.



Recipe Ingredients

* Whole Urad Dal - 1 cup

* Rice - 1 tsp

* Cooking Oil - For deep Frying

* Green Chillies - 2

* Coconut Bits - 2 tsp

* Curry Leaves - 4

* Pepper Corns - 1 tsp

* Salt to taste



Preparation

First wash and soak urad dal and rice for 2 hours. Drain water and grind to a smooth paste in grinder with green chillies using sufficient amount of water.

Add salt, curry leaves, coconut pieces and pepper corns and mix well. Divide the batter into small rough balls and keep aside.

Take a kadai(wok) and heat oil in it. Once it is hot deep fry the balls till they turn golden brown.
