Mutton Curry is a tasty curry dish which goes very well with Rice. You can eat it along with Rotis also but rice and curry combination makes it very sumptuous.
Recipe Ingredients
* Mutton Pieces - 500g
* Cooking Oil - 5 tbsp
* Onion (sliced)- 1/2 cup
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
* Yogurt - 1 cup
* Green Chillies - 2
* Red Chillies - 2
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Cloves - 2
* Curry Leaves - A few
* Cardamom (small) - 2
* Coriander Seeds - 1 tsp
* Salt to taste
Preparation
Take a food processor and put onion, yogurt, ginger garlic paste and green chillies in it. Add half cup of water and make a paste. Keep it aside.
Crush coriander seeds, turmeric powder, cloves and cardamom and form a fine powder.
In a bowl mix, mutton pieces, salt and above ready paste. Keep them aside for half an hour. Take a kadai and cook these marinated mutton pieces in 2 to 3 cups of water. Keep cooking till mutton pieces are tender.
Now take a pan and heat oil in it. Once it is hot add mutton meat (without the curry) and red chillies. Fry the meat for few minutes and add powdered spices made ready earlier. Fry for 2 to 3 minutes and add the curry also. Cook on medium flame for 2 minutes more. You can add water to make the curry thinner or cook as it is to make it more thicker.
Take off from flame, garnish with Coriander leaves and serve hot along with rice.
