Mutter Aloo - Peas with boiled Potatoes. Another very easy vegetarian dish which can be made ready in 20 to 25 minutes.
Recipe Ingredients
* Aloo (Potatoes) - 4
* Mutter (Peas) - 100g
* Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 2 tbsp
* Tomato (chopped) - 2 medium size
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
* Hing (Asafoetida) - A pinch
* Garam Masala - 1/2 tsp
* Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Green Chillies (chopped) - 2
* Coriander Leaves (chopped) - hand full
* Salt to taste
Preparation
First boil the potatoes until two whistles. Let them cool down a bit and then peel off the skin. Cut them into small to medium size pieces.
Take a pressure cooker and heat desi ghee in it. Once it is hot add cumin seeds. As they start crackling add green chillies, turmeric powder, red chilli powder, hing, salt, coriander powder and garam masala. Mix well.
Add boiled potato pieces and peas and mix them well with other ingredients. Add 2 cups of water and cover the lid of the cooker. Put it on medium flame and cook until one whistle. Let the steam comes out slowly from the cooker. After 5 to 10 minutes pour the dish in a bowl.
Garnish with Coriander Leaves and serve hot along with Tandoori Rotis.
