Methi Pulao - One of the easiest methi recipe, you can make it ready within half an hour. As methi has a little bitter taste use paneer (cottage cheese) also in this pulao to bring an even taste.
Recipe Ingredients
* Basmati Rice - 1 1/2 cup
* Methi Leaves (chopped) - 1/2 cup
* Green Chillies (chopped) - 2
* Desi Ghee (clarified Butter) - 1 tbsp
* Tomatoes (chopped) - 2
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Green peas (parboiled) - 1/2 cup
* Paneer Cubes (fried) - 8
* Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
* Salt to taste
Preparation
First wash and soak rice for 15 minutes. Drain the excess water.
Take a heavy bottomed pan and heat desi ghee in it. Once it is hot sauté garlic paste in it. Add all the ingredients in the pan except rice.
Sauté the mixture for 8 to 10 minutes. Then add rice and again sauté for 5 minutes. Now add water (4 to 5 cups) and pour all the contents in a pressure cooker. Cook on medium flame till two whistles. Let the steam come out naturally.
Open the cooker and garnish with paneer cubes and serve hot.
