Methi Muthiya

Methi Muthiya - A methi dish made by steaming and frying methi besan dumplings and garnishing with coriander leaves. This Gujarati Snack can be easily cooked in 20 to 25 minutes.

Recipe Ingredients

* Gram Flour - 1 cup
* Fenugreek Leaves - 1/2 cup

* Cooking Oil - 2 tbsp
* Onions (chopped)- 1

* Tomatoes (cut to pieces)- 2
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp

* Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Green Chillies (chopped) - 2

* Coriander Leaves (chopped) - hand full
* Salt to taste

Preparation

First clean and finely chop Fenugreek Leaves. If you clean them with water let them dry of excess water.

Take a medium size bowl and mix gram flour, fenugreek leaves, green chillies and cooking oil(1tbsp) in it. Knead to form a semi hard dough. Keep it aside.

Divide the dough into 1/2 inch dough balls. Steam these balls in a cooker for 10 minutes.

In a Kadai heat cooking oil(2tbsp). Once it is hot add onions and sauté till they turn little brown. Add cumin seeds, tomatoes, ginger garlic paste and cook for 5 to 10 minutes more. Add steamed balls and cook for 5 minutes.

Take them off flame and enjoy with Tandoori Rotis.
