Matar Pulao

Matar Pulao is a very simple dish which can be made ready in 10-15 minutes. When one thinks of a Basmati Rice Recipe then this dish comes to mind first.



Recipe Ingredients

* Basmati Rice - 2 cups

* Matar (Peas) - 200g

* Vegetable Oil - Little for Frying

* Onion (Chopped) - 1

* Cloves - 4 to 5

* Cardamom (Big) - 3

* Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp

* Dalchini - 2 to 3 pieces

* Salt to taste

* Water - 4 cups


Preparation

Take oil in a open Cooker and heat it along with cloves, cardamom, dalchini, ginger garlic paste and very little water. Fry these for few minutes.

Add onion to the above prepared spices mixture and fry it for 2 to 3 minutes more. Then add basmati rice and water and close the cooker lid. After 3 whistles put off the gas and let the rice get cooked properly in the steam inside the cooker.

Open after sometime to serve.
