Masala Vadai

Masala Vadai - South Indian Vada made with spices. Serve it along with Sambar and Coconut Chutney.



Recipe Ingredients

* Chana Dal - 2 cups

* Refined Oil - For deep frying

* Garam Masala - 1 tsp

* Green Chillies, chopped - 6

* Ginger, chopped - 1

* Onions, chopped - 2

* Curry Leaves, chopped - A few

* Coriander Leaves, chopped - 2 tbsp

* Salt to taste



Preparation

First clean and soak Chana Dal for 2 hours. Drain water and grind with required salt to form a coarse paste.

Mix all other ingredients in the paste.

heat oil in a kadai (wok). Divide the batter into small parts. Flatten each ball into a vada shape on a banana leaf. Deep fry each vadas in hot oil till they turn golden brown.

Serve along with Sambar and Coconut Chutney.
