Malpua

Malpua is famous pancake sweet of India. Enjoyed in festivities like Diwali and marriage ceremonies, this is a simple sweet to make.



Recipe Ingredients

* All Purpose Flour - 1/2 cup

* Suji (semolina)- 1/4 cup

* Ghee - For Frying

* Baking Powder - 1/2 tsp

* Milk - 1 litre

* Sugar

* Water



Preparation

Mix milk and sugar(4 tsp) and boil till it reduces to half its quantity.

Roast the suji till it turns little brown. Add this to the milk along with flour. Make a smooth batter.

Heat desi ghee till it starts boiling. Pour batter in the ghee in a circular motion. Take care to form a small roti. Keep cooking till it turns golden brown.

Make a single thread sugar syrup. When it is hot put it in the syrup. Let it remain in it for 5 minutes. Take out and serve on a plate.
