Makhane Ki Kheer

Makhane Ki Kheer

Makhane ki kheer is mostly prepared during festivals like Navratri, Deewali, Vijaydashmi etc in India. This Kheer is considered as rajbhog of the God hence mostly prepared during these auspicious occasions.



Recipe Ingredients

* Milk - 1 litre

* Sugar - 1 cup

* Makhane - 50g

* Almonds (cut to pieces) - 10

* Cashew nuts (cut to pieces) - 10

* Pistas (cut to pieces) - 8

* Cardamom (small) Powder - 1 tsp

* Desi Ghee - 1 tbsp



Preparation

Take a bowl and keep boiling the milk till it reduces to half it's quantity. Add sugar and stir till it dissolves completely.

In a pan saute makhane in desi ghee till they turns little brown. Then add these to milk and cook for few more minutes and let it cool down.

Serve chilled after garnishing with almonds, cashews and pistas.
