Madras Curry

Madras Curry is a traditional South Indian Recipe made using lamb or beef meat. To make this authentic curry use rich Indian spices.

Recipe Ingredients

* Meat (Beef or Lamb pieces) - 750g
* Onion (chopped) - 1
* Cooking Oil - 3 tbsps
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
* Cumin Seeds Powder - 1 tsp
* Green Chillies (chopped)- 2
* Red Chillies - 2
* 1/4 pint stock made with a cube
* Coriander powder - 1 tsp
* Curry Powder - 1 tbsp
* Cloves - 3
* Cardamom Pods (open) - 4
* Salt to taste



Preparation

Heat oil in a wok (kadai). Once it is hot, add onions, cloves, and cardamom. Sauté the mixture till onions are soft.

Then add ginger garlic paste, green chillies and red chillies into the kadai. Mix the ingredients together and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Pour curry powder and meat pieces and stir the ingredients properly so that spice mixture is applied on all sides of the meat pieces.

Now add all the other ingredients(including salt) also and cook till meat pieces are soft. Add water to get the desired consistency.

Serve hot and eat with Jeera or fried rice.
