Kobi Nu Shaak

Kobi Nu Shaak - Bandh Gobi Curry recipe cooked in Gujarati style. The dish is made little spicier by adding all the traditional spices. Some people add sugar also but that is optional as per taste.

Recipe Ingredients

* Cabbage - 750g
* Mixed Vegetables - 1 cup
* Onion (chopped) - 1
* Asafoetida - a pinch
* Vegetable Oil - 2 tbsp
* Green Chillies (cut) - 1
* Turmeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
* Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
* Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
* Salt to taste

Preparation

First clean and chop cabbage. For mixed vegetables take peas, chopped carrot and any other vegetable which you like.

Take a pan and heat oil in it. Once it is hot add mustard seeds. As they start cracking add cumin seeds, green chillies and asafoetida. Sauté this mixture for a minute.

After a minute add onions. Sauté the onions till little brown. Then add turmeric powder, cabbage, red chilli powder, coriander powder, mixed vegetables and salt. Mix well and let the dish cook on medium flame for sometime till cabbage reduces in volume and vegetables are done. You can cover the pan with a lid to let it cook faster.

Take off from flame and serve hot after garnishing with coriander leaves.
