Khasta Roti

Khasta Roti - This special roti is cooked in an oven. It can be served when hot or can be enjoyed later also. Use fine wholewheat flour to make this roti.



Recipe Ingredients

* Whole Wheat Flour - 3 cups
* Ajwain (carom seeds) - 1 tbsp
* Sugar - 3 tsp
* Salt to taste
* Water - 1 1/2 cup



Preparation

First sieve the flour and add sugar, salt and carom seeds. Use water to knead and make a hard dough. Cover with a moist cloth and keep aside for 30 minutes.

After half an hour divide the dough into 10 equal size balls. Dust a little with dry flour and roll into 5 inch size rotis. Prick with a fork evenly.

Bake the rotis in an oven at 175deg C for 10 minutes or till light brown in colour.
