Kerala Prawn

Kerala Prawn - Konzu Masala is a Prawn dish very popular among malayalees. It is a dry dish which can be served at dinner time or along with cocktails.

Recipe Ingredients

* Tiger Prawns - 1/2 kg

* Coconut Oil - 1/4 cup

* Onions (chopped) - 3

* Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tsp

* Coriander Powder - 1 tsp

* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

* Dry Red Chillies (crushed) - 3 Nos

* Kokum - 1 No

* Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp

* Curry Leaves - 4 to 5

* Salt to taste



Preparation

First clean and wash the prawns.

Mix all the other ingredients except curry leaves and the oil. Stir together the prawns and the spice mix and simmer over low flame, covered. Do not add any water, do not cook more than ten minutes, else the flesh will get tough and rubbery.

Heat oil and fry curry leaves in a shallow pan.

Pour the cooked prawns and gravy into the oil and stir fry dry.
