Kaju Katli

Kaju Katli is a fine and thin kaju barfi made with a mixture of cashews and sugar. This barfi is served to guests on major festivals and auspicious occasions like diwali and marriage etc.

Here is the simple recipe to make this sweet at your home.

Barfi Recipe Ingredients

* Cashews - 300g

* Sugar - 150g

* Cardamom Powder - of 3 to 4 cardamoms

* Varak (Silver Foil) - For covering

* Water - 100ml

Preparation

Grind cashews in a grinder to make fine powder. In a pan boil sugar in water to form a single thread syrup.

Add cashew powder to hot syrup. Mix well and stir with a spoon. Take off the pan from the flame and let it cool.

Take a flat plate and grease it with clarified butter. Pour hot dough mixture on the plate and roll it to form it flat.

Apply gently silver foil on the top. As sweet cools down cut it into diamond shape.
