Jowar Roti

Jowar Roti - This roti is made from the Jowar flour and is primarily part of main course in western dry part of India i.e. Rajasthan and Gujarat.

Recipe Ingredients

* Jowar Flour - 200g

* Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter)- 1 tbsp

* Salt to taste

* Warm Water - 1 cup

Preparation

Take a bowl and mix Jowar flour, salt and water properly and make a soft dough. Leave the dough aside for half hour.

After 30 minutes make equal size balls from the dough. Roll out each dough ball to make roti. Try to make roti as thin as possible but ensure no cracks happen on the dough. Put the roti on a preheated griddle.

Cook the roti on medium flame on both the sides. Remove the griddle and put roti on the fire to let it puff up. Cook evenly from all the sides and take it off from the flame.

Apply desi ghee gently on both the sides and your roti is ready to serve.
