Gulab Jamun

Yummy soft Gulab Jamun is a yummy Indian Sweet enjoyed at all occasions and seasons. Make it as part of diwali sweets or serve as after meal dessert to your friends it is loved by all.

Recipe Ingredients

* Milk - 1/2 cup

* Milk Powder - 1 cup

* Oil - For Frying

* Sugar - 1 1/2 cup (To make sugar syrup)

* All Purpose Flour - 1/2 cup

* Butter - 2 tbsp

* Baking Powder - A Pinch

* Water - 1 cup (To make sugar syrup)


Preparation

Take a bowl and mix milk powder, flour, baking powder, butter with your finger. Add milk to make a dough. Keep it aside for 5 to 10 minutes.

Make balls from the dough. In a medium size pan heat oil on slow flame. Oil quantity should be 1 inch thick from the bottom. Put slowly all the dough balls in the Pan. Cook them till turn dark brown. Keep moving the balls so that they are cooked properly from all sides.

Make sugar syrup as explained in our "Jalebi" recipe. Put brown balls in the warm sugar syrup. They will be ready to serve after 15 minutes of soaking in the syrup.
