Gajar Ka Halwa
Another dessert of winter, Gajar Ka Halwa is loved by all.
We recommend that red carrots (not the orange ones) be used to make this halwa.
* Carrots - 1kg
* Desi Ghee - 3 or 4 tbsps
* Sugar - 1 cup
* Milk - 1 litre
* Raisins - A few
* Almonds - As per choice
* Cashewnuts - As per choice
Grate the carrots and put them in a medium size pan. Add milk to it and boil on medium flame. Keep stirring regularly. Once the milk is soaked add sugar and desi ghee to it.
Again stir for 5 minutes more. Add dry fruits to it and serve.
