Fish Potato

Fish Potato made with Monk Fish and potato is very easy to make. This dish is not very common and is cooked in very few homes in India. Make it yourself and serve with cooked rice.

Recipe Ingredients

* Monk Fish Fillets - 1kg

* Potatoes (Cut to pieces) - 1/2kg

* Vegetable Oil (For Frying) - As Required

* Onion (chopped) - 1

* Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp

* Coriander Powder - 1 tsp

* Cumin Seeds Powder - 1/2 tsp

* Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp

* Red Chillies - 3

* Salt to taste



Preparation

Take a medium size pan and fry in oil potatoes with salt and turmeric powder. Keep them aside and warm.

Separately fry fish pieces also with salt and turmeric powder. Keep cooking till pieces turn crisp and brown. Keep them aside.

In a pan make seasoning by frying (in oil) onions, ginger garlic paste, cumin seed powder, coriander powder, red chillies. Make a paste of this mixture.

Add fish pieces and potatoes to this paste. Add water to form a curry and cook till dish starts boiling.

Enjoy it with Naan or Rice.
