Fish Moilee is a Cod Fish Fry recipe wherein fish is fried first with spices and then cooked in coconut milk to make curry.
* Cod Fish Pieces - 1/2 kg * Vegetable Oil - 2 tbsp * Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp * Onion (chopped) - 1 * Lime Juice - 2 tbsp * Coconut Milk - 1 cup * Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp * Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp * Ginger Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp * Curry Leaves - few * Green Chillies (cut) - 3 * Salt to taste
Apply lime juice and salt to fish pieces and keep them aside.
Take a medium size pan and saute onion in oil then add fenugreek seeds, red chillies and curry leaves. Keep moving the mixture then add ginger garlic paste , fish pieces, turmeric powder and green chillies.
Continue moving the mixture in the pan. Once fish pieces are properly laced in the mixture then add coconut oil and salt and cook on medium flame for 10 more minutes.
Serve the dish with Roti or rice.
