Fish Biryani

Invite your friends for dinner and serve them Fish Biryani or enjoy this special recipe biryani in Ramzan, there cannot be a better occassion than these two.



This dish is cooked using fish paste also but we have chosen fish pieces to make this delicious fish rice.

Recipe Ingredients

* Fish - 1/2 kg
* Basmati Rice - 1/2 kg
* Ghee - As required
* Onion (chopped)- 2
* Tomato (chopped) - 3
* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
* Turmeric Powder - 2 tsp
* Garam Masala - 1 tsp
* Green Chillies (finely cut) - 4
* Coriander Leaves - half hand full
* Cashewnuts - 50gms
* Raisins - 50 gms
* Salt to taste



Preparation

Clean the fish and cut to pieces. Marinate properly with Red Chilli Powder, Turmeric Powder and salt. Shallow Fry these marinated pieces and once turn little crisp put aside and keep warm.

Take Rice in a bowl and clean them properly with water. Cook cleaned rice with water, turmeric powder and salt. Once about to be cooked fully take them out from cooking and keep aside.

In a pan saute onion in ghee and add raisins, cashewnuts. After few minutes of cooking add tomato, red chilli powder, garam masala, coriander leaves, green chillies and mix all properly on medium heat to form a masala mixture.

Take a big vessel and spread cooked rice in the bottom. Then put masala mixture and cooked fish pieces. Again put second layer of rice and repeat spread of masala mixture and left over fish pieces. In between sprinkle raisins and cashewnut in various layers. Close the Vessel with a tight lid and cook it in an oven. Once top rice layer turn brown take the biryani out and serve hot.
