Egg Roti

Egg Roti - It can also be called as Egg Paratha as it is cooked with Desi Ghee. When you are bored of eating normal roti then for a change make this simple paratha.

Recipe Ingredients

* Wholewheat flour - 2 cups

* Eggs - 2 to 3

* Desi Ghee - 5 to 6 tbsp

* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

* Black Pepper Powder - 1/2 tsp

* Salt to taste

* Water

Preparation

First mix flour and salt. Knead and make a smooth dough using sufficient amount of water. Keep it aside for 30 minutes covered with a wet cloth.

Divide the dough in to equal size dough balls and roll each ball one by one using a rolling pin. Make flat rotis. Take each roti and apply little ghee on the surface, round it again to make a dough ball and then roll it flat.

Take a pan and put it on griddle. Pour 1 tsp of desi ghee in it and heat it. Once it is hot gently put the roti in the pan. Break an egg and spread it on the roti evenly. Sprinkle red chilli powder, pepper and pinch of salt. Apply ghee around the roti and turn over the roti once the egg has set slightly. Cook the other side also by applying desi ghee.

Cook till both the sides are golden brown. Serve hot along with Aloo Bhaji and Coriander Chutney.
