Recipe Ingredients

* Rohu fish fillets (washed) - 1 kg
* Yoghurt - 1 cup
* Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 50g
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Onions (chopped) - 1/2 cup
* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
* Raisins - 50g
* Bayleaf (Tej patta) - 1
* Cinnamom Stick ( 1/2 inch) - 1
* Cloves - 2
* Green Cardamoms - 2
* Black Peppercorns - 4
* Salt to taste

Preparation

First marinate the fillets in half the yogurt and turmeric powder for 30 minutes.

Take a kadai(wok) and heat desi ghee and sauté the fish till it is three-fourths done. Keep aside.

To the desi ghee, add cloves, green cardamoms, cinnamon, bayleaf and peppercorns. Sauté for few seconds, then add onions and ginger garlic paste. Cook till the onions turn little brown.
