Coconut Barfi

Enjoy Coconut Barfi after meal as a tasty sweet dessert. Nariyal ki Barfi is simple and can easily be made in 20 to 25 minutes.



Serve to your friends and relatives or make and store in your refrigerator to enjoy it for days, this Indian dessert cannot be ignored.

Recipe Ingredients

* Coconut Powder (ground) - 2 cups
* Sugar - 400g
* Khoya (grated and ground)- 1/2 kg
* Essence - 1 drop
* Desi Ghee - 1 tbsp
* Cardamom (Small) Powder - 1 tsp
* Pistas (cut to pieces) - 10
* Silver Foil - 5 to 6
* Saffron Strands - A Pinch
* Water - 2 cups



Preparation

Boil and mix sugar and water in a pan. Stir continuously till sugar is dissolved completely and one string syrup is formed.

When sugar syrup is boiling add khoya, coconut powder, cardamom powder, saffron strands and essence. Mix well and keep stirring.

Then take a tray and grease it with ghee. Spread the barfi mixture on the tray and let it cool down. Cut into pieces and garnish with pistas, almonds and silver foil.
