Cilantro Chutney

Cilantro Chutney is made from Cilantro stems(also called Cilantro Parsley are leaves of coriander plant) and is used as garnish in Indian Food.



Cilantro Leaves are also extensively used to make various recipes like Cilantro Lime, Cilantro Sauce, Cilantro Chicken etc. The Cilantro plant is nutritious and preferably to be used fresh to make this chutney.

Chutney Ingredients

* Cilantro Leaves (fresh)- One bunch
* Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
* Sugar - 1 tsp
* Black Pepper - 1/2 tsp
* Green Chillies - 2 small ones
* Lime Juice - 1/2 tsp
* Salt - 1/2 tsp
* Water - Very Little



Make Chutney

In a pan put Mustard Seeds, Cumin Seeds and dry roast them. Once a brown colour is achieved take the pan out of the flame.

In a Food processor add all other ingredients and mustard/cumin seeds. Mix them properly till a paste is formed. Add water as per requirement. Chutney is ready to serve.
