First fry peanuts in wok (kadai) with oil and keep aside. In the same wok add coconut pieces and fry till they turn soft and golden brown. Mix with peanuts.
Put poha chivda in a microwave bowl and cook in the microwave oven for 2 to 3 minutes. Normally it takes a minute or so. Advisable is to check after 1 minute. If the chivda had become crisp then take out and keep aside.
Take a kadai(wok) and heat oil in it. Once it is hot, add mustard seeds. As seeds start sputtering add green chillies and curry leaves. Sauté for a minute and add peanuts and roasted chana dal. As they turn little brown add sugar, asafoetida, turmeric powder and salt. Add cooked chivda and mix properly. Keep mixing for 3 to 4 minutes and your chivda is ready. Put in a airtight container and use it for many days.
