Chicken Steaks

Enjoy easy Indian Chicken Steaks recipe which can be made ready in 45 minutes. Make this dish for dinner and serve along with Basmati Rice and Tandoori Roti.



Recipe Ingredients

* Chicken Escalopes - 1/2 kg
* Oil - 4 tbsp
* Onion (chopped) - 1
* Butter - 2 tbsp
* Egg (whisked) - 1
* Ginger Garlic Paste - 3 tbsp
* Yogurt - 1/4 cup
* Tomato Puree - 4 tbsp
* Cream - 2 tbsp
* Garam Masala - 1 tsp
* Almonds (blanched & deskinned) - 5 tbsp
* White Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
* Lemon Juice - 1 tbsp
* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
* Salt to taste - 2 tsp



Preparation

First mix egg, red chilli powder, lemon juice, salt and ginger garlic paste (2 tbsp) to make a batter. Take each chicken escalope and flatten it out using steak hammer and apply the batter. Put it in a refrigerator for 20 minutes.

After 20 minutes take out the battered chicken from the refrigerator and keep it aside. Take a pan and heat oil in it. One it is hot, shallow fry the chicken pieces until golden brown. Remove from heat, drain out the excess oil and keep aside.

Now grind the blanched almonds to a fine paste and blend with yogurt. Heat oil and butter in a pan and add ginger garlic paste(1 tbsp) and onions and sauté for 30 seconds. Add yogurt and Sauté. Add remaining salt, red chilli powder, white pepper and cook for few minutes.

Stir in tomato puree and cream and sauté for 10 minutes on medium flame. Add chicken pieces to the gravy. Cook on the low heat till pieces are tender and curry thickens.

Take off the chicken pieces from the gravy and place on a serving plate. Pour the gravy on top. Sprinkle garam masala and cream also on top. Garnish with cut almonds and serve hot.
