Chapati

Chapati - Roti, Fulka, Indian Bread are some of its varied names. However in Indian context it means a thin roti. Indian Food is incomplete without it.

Recipe Ingredients

* Wheat Flour - 2 cups

* Refined Oil - 1 tsp

* Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter) - For smearing

* Water - To make dough

Preparation

First make a smooth dough by mixing sufficient water with wheat flour. Once dough is ready dip your fingers in refined oil and smear it on top surface of the dough.

Now make equal size dough balls. Using Belan (rolling pin) and Chakala, roll them out and make thin flat rotis.

Take a tawa (griddle) and heat it. Once it is hot carefully put each roti on the tawa. Cook one side and as it is slightly cooked turn it over and cook the other side also.

Take the roti off from the griddle and smear ghee on both sides. Serve hot.
