Chakli Recipe to make crispy and little spicy Chaklis. The recipe is simple to make this tea time snack in 30 minutes.
* Gram Flour (Besan) - 100g
* Rice Flour - 250g
* Oil for Frying
* Butter - 2 tbsp
* Asafoetida - a pinch
* Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
* Carom Seeds(Ajwain) - 1 tsp
* Salt to taste
* Water - To make Dough
In a medium size bowl, mix rice flour, gram flour, red chilli powder, salt, asafoetida, carom seeds and butter. Use sufficient water to make a soft dough.
When dough is ready heat oil in a kadai(wok).
Take a Chakli mold and press dough through it. Make Chaklis from the whole dough. You can press the mold nozzle directly on top of the hot oil in a circular motion. Fry these in oil till they turn brown and crisp.
Let them cool down and enjoy with your tea.
