Apricot Chutney

Apricot Chutney is a special chutney due to its sweet and tangy taste. Making chutney from apricot fresh fruit is very easy. Apricot Juice with rich content of anti-oxidants is very nutritious.



Chutney Ingredients

* Apricots (chopped)- 1/2kg
* Apples (chopped/peeled & mashed)- 1/2kg
* Raisins - Half hand full
* Onion (chopped)- 1
* Garlic (chopped)- 2 cloves
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Ginger (chopeed)- One small piece
* Lemon Juice - 3 tsp
* Sugar - 1 cup
* Cider Vinegar - 1 cup
* Water - 2 cups
* Salt - 1 tsp


Make Chutney

Take a Kettle and put Apricots with water to boil. Once Apricots are soft, mash and take the pulp out.

In a medium saucepan, put Apricot pulp, Apples, raisins, onion, garlic, ginger along with water to boil. Keep moving the mixture till water is absorbed.

To this add Vinegar, sugar, salt, lemon juice, Chilli Powder and cook it on medium flame till all ingredients are mixed properly and a thick paste is ready.

Let it cool down and put this chutney in a Jar for daily use.
