Aloo Tikki - A delicious Indian snack enjoyed most with Coriander Chutney or thick tomato sauce. However you can serve this to your guest along with Curd and Sonth(dry ginger).
Recipe Ingredients
* Potatoes - 1/2 kg
* Green Peas - 1/2 cup
* Cornflour - 50g
* Cooking Oil - For Frying
* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
* Green Chillies (Chopped) - 2
* Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
* Lemon Juice - 1/2 tsp
* Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
* Black Pepper - 1/4 tsp
* Salt to taste
Preparation
First wash, boil, peel and mash the potatoes. Similarly boil the peas in a pressure cooker until three whistles.
As potatoes and boiled peas have cooled down a bit then mix all the ingredients except cooking oil. Mix properly, if required mash peas also.
Make equal size balls and flatten them to form a thick(1/2 inch) pancake size disc. Heat oil in a pan and once it is hot, fry these tikkis until they turn crisp and golden brown.
Serve hot along with Coriander Chutney.
