Aloo Paratha

Aloo Paratha - Enjoy two parathas with lime pickle and yogurt. Please do not forget to smear them with butter. The taste and the aroma of parathas will make your whole day fulfilling.

Recipe Ingredients

* Wheat Flour - 2 cups

* Potatoes - 4

* Desi Ghee (Clarified Butter) - 5 to 6 tbsp

* Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

* Onion (finely chopped) - 1

* Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp

* Green Chillies (chopped) - 3

* Coriander Leaves (finely chopped) - hand full

* Salt to taste

Preparation

First boil the potatoes in a pressure cooker. Once they are boiled mash them properly. Add red chilli powder, garam masala, onion, coriander leaves, salt and green chillies. Mix well all these ingredients. This will form the filling part of the paratha.

In a medium size bowl mix wheat flour, salt(1 tsp) and sufficient water to make smooth dough. Make equal size dough balls from the dough.

Roll out each dough ball to make it flat and round. Put a tablespoon of filling mixture in the centre. Close it from all the sides. Using a rolling pin(belan), roll out again carefully and cook on a pre-heated tawa.

Apply Desi Ghee on top side, turn over the paratha and similarly apply Ghee on the other side also. Cook on hot tawa till paratha is crisp and little brown.

Smear the Paratha with butter and enjoy with yogurt and lime pickle.
