Aloo Methi

Aloo Methi is one dish which is very nutritious and it is also known fact that this dish is recommended for people suffering from diabetes.



Methi leaves are rich in antioxidants, iron and many other useful vitamins. In India, other popular methi recipes are - Methi Sag, Methi Paratha and Methi Raita.

Recipe Ingredients

* Methi Leaves (fenugreek)- 2 big bunch of leaves
* Oil - 3 tbsp
* Aloo (Potatoes) - 3 cut to pieces
* Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
* Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Tomato Puree - 1 tbsp
* Garlic (crushed) - 2 flakes
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Salt to taste


Preparation

First clean and finely chop methi leaves.

Take oil in a pan or kadai and fry cumin seeds and garlic.

Once cumin seeds and garlic turns brown add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt and tomato puree.

In this ready spices ingredients, add aloo pieces and saute them for 5 to 10 minutes till cooked properly. Finely add chopped methi and cook on medium flame. Keep moving the ingredients frequently so that methi does not sticks to the pan.

As you notice all the water has been absorbed take it off from the flame and serve hot.
