Aloo Masala - A very simple and easy dish to make at leisure. Make and eat this along with any other sabzi to make your food wholesome.
Recipe Ingredients
* Aloo (Potatoes) - 1/2 kg
* Cooking Oil - 2 tbsp
* Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
* Garam Masala - 1 tsp
* Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
* Green Chillies (cut) - 2
* Hing (Asafoetida) - A pinch
* Amchur (Dry Mango Powder) - 1/2 tsp
* Salt to taste
Preparation
First peel the potato sking and cut into 4 cms fingers. Soak these fingers in cold water for 10 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan. Add Red Chilli, Green chillies and Coriander Powder and stir fry for a minute. Add potato fingers, salt, hing, amchur, garam masala and mix well. Cook till the potatoes have turned slight golden brown.
Transfer onto a greased plate and spread them well. Place them in an oven and bake at 450deg F for 20 minutes. Turn them when you are halfway through. Serve hot with other sabzis.
